ATELIER SOED IDEE

Gisteren dit Roodborstje afgewerkt. Het is de nieuwe freebee voor mijn klanten. Als je zondag langs komt bij Bep of 10 december in Naaldwijk, krijg je het patroontje kado! Natuurlijk ook bij bestellingen in de webwinkel! Finished this Robin yesterday. It's the new freebee for my customers! Maandag ontdekten we een hoopje roze babyvogeltjes in het merel-nest! Maar toen ik gisteren een foto maakte was er niets meer te zien op de foto... Zielig hè? Het nest is waarschijnlijk geplunderd door een eekhoorn of door een kraai... Wat kan de natuur dan wreed zijn :( Het was ook geen handig plekje, waar Ma Merel d'r nest had gebouwd, maar ik heb wel met d'r te doen... Monday we discovered a few pink babies in the blackbird's nest. But when I took a picture yesterday the nest was empty.... How sad! They were probably eaten by a squirrel or a crow... Nature can be crewel sometimes :( Like I sad earlier she didn't pick a good place for her nest, but I feel sorry for Mother Blackbird... Hugs, Simone

I've made some more sheep for my flock. Some of them have been travelling around the globe! The first one, "Isaac" has travelled to Belgium, to go living at Iris' place. I've kept the one in Scottish cloth for myself and the last one travelled all the way to the USA! Max has found a new home at Marne's . It was my return exchange for her for the crazy exchange . A few days ago, I was browsing some weblogs and came on this French blog; Le Chalet des Perelles , and saw this cute woolfelt little birdies. I just had to try to make them! They are not as pretty as on the french blog, but I like them anyway ;) Yesterday I spent a wonderful day at Bep's with my friend Jacq . Bep had a Christmas day and workshop in her house. And I finally met Cindy IRL overthere! Cindy and I knew each other from our blogs, so it was very nice to finally "Meet and Greet". And Cindy also made me this cute Tilda heart: Thanks again Cindy! Just a minute ago the mailwoman brought me this package from Olga . It's the HOE LHN-exchange! Olga made me this gorgeous pinkeep with scissorspocket on the back. She also attached a very nice Louisiana-scissorfob to the scissors. It has Olga's and mine initials on it! The design Olga stitched is "Watermelon" with Crescent Colours on 28 ct. evenweave. And this is the complete exchange. Don't you just love the cute bird buttons??? I do! And all the shades of red of DMC, some ribbon and pins. I'm speechless... Thank you so much Olga!!!

I was getting worried about my Feathered Friends exchange. Because I still hadn't heard that it was arrived. But when I took a look at Joan's blog I found out she received it almost two weeks ago! Speaking of birds... We had a nest of titmouses in one of the birdhouses. And the babies are out now! Isn't it cute???

When I saw this little birdie on several other Blogs, I knew I had to stitch it! So I ordered the Big Book of Cross Stitch Designs (which is full of nice Designs!), and took this little project with me on vacation. I stitched it for Cathy B , to say "Thank you" for all the wonderful exchanges I received from her last year, in the Seasonal Exchanges. I just heard from Cathy that it arrived on her doorstep. I'm telling you; they never come alone! Today I received two exchanges again. First of all, the Scavenger Hunt. Janaina organized this for the Crazy exchange group . Janaina gave us 6 words and we have to use our imagination to find something for those words. The words are: birds, kitchen, old, flowers, happiness and tiny.
