ATELIER SOED IDEE

Toen ik een tijdje geleden de eerste aankondigingen zag van Brenda Gervais ' Mystery Sampler "Birds of a Feather" was ik meteen verkocht. Ik ben nl. gek op vogeltjes en erg gecharmeerd van Brenda's ontwerpen, dus wat mij betreft een ideale combinatie! Maar ja.... wel een mystery! Dus na lang in spanning te hebben gezeten, ontving ik gisteren via de post deel 1. Nog geen vogeltje te bekennen, want alleen een bloemenrand.... Maar wat was het een feestje om de garens uit te zoeken! Ik had heel veel van de originele WDW kleurtjes, maar ik heb er voor gekozen om deze om te zetten naar Victorian Motto kleuren (een enkele uitzondering daar gelaten). Hopelijk ben ik daar in geslaagd, maar dat moet straks blijken als ik ga borduren... Het linnen is een lap die ik zelf met koffie geverfd heb. Ik vrees dat jullie even zullen moeten wachten op nieuwe ontwerpjes van mijn hand :))) LOL Dat is maar een geintje natuurlijk! Ik hoop deze Birds of a Feather straks tijdens de vakantie t...

I've managed to buy a coupon for the Isa V. SAL . It's a large piece of 32 ct. Sand Linen. I'm going to stitch with DMC 902 and instead of gold, I use DMC 815 for the accents. When the stitching is finished sometime in the far away future, I want to make a quilt of all the blocks. I had some fabrics in my stash that will match perfectly (but of course I need a lot more than this!). Hugs, Simone

I received another wonderful exchange! It's the HOE Freebee exchange from Cathie from France. She send me this tin: Look what was inside the tin: Cathie used a freebee from Aurelle and made this beautiful "carillon" of it. What a great idea!!! She also added some goodies; fabric, ribbon, buttons and beads and citronella candles. Cathie, thank you so much for this wonderful exchange! This is the floss toss for my newest project: It's "Sampler Ronde" de Anagram. Stitched on 40 ct. Summer Khaki, with DMC 221 and 3865. I have a lot of exchanges to stitch first, but I hope I can start this one real soon!
