Redwork quilt

I'm going to make a redwork quilt! I have a lot of different red fabrics from Atelier Bep, which I use for it. The other fabric is plain cotton ("pitjeskatoen") which I died myself with coffee.
I already made this stitchery, which will be the centerpiece:

(BTW: I made this picture before I rinsed out the Trickmarker ;) )

Around the stitchery there will be "ninepatches" and "friendship stars", like this quilt:

I've cut all the fabric for the blocks, last week:

And today I sewed the first block:

There will be 14 friendship stars and 12 ninepatches. So only 25 blocks left to go... ;)
