LHN exchange from Olga

Afbeelding
Just a minute ago the mailwoman brought me this package from Olga . It's the HOE LHN-exchange! Olga made me this gorgeous pinkeep with scissorspocket on the back. She also attached a very nice Louisiana-scissorfob to the scissors. It has Olga's and mine initials on it! The design Olga stitched is "Watermelon" with Crescent Colours on 28 ct. evenweave. And this is the complete exchange. Don't you just love the cute bird buttons??? I do! And all the shades of red of DMC, some ribbon and pins. I'm speechless... Thank you so much Olga!!!

They multiply!

Remember "Sietje"??? She got some new friends! It's almost a flock now ;) They don't have name tags on yet, because two of them are gifts. The white/red one, I going to keep for myself.

We are so happy with our new garden! Especially since it's completely finished now and everything is starting to bloom. This morning I was surprised by this wonderful poppy! And the Hydrangeas (my favourites) are starting to bloom. Saturday I've bought this Canadian Bear chair on a huge sale in a garden centre. It's just perfect for the new deck!

Xmas in July ornie and update M&A

Last Saturday I received my Christmas in July ornament exchange from Wendy Jo ! Wendy Jo made me a wonderful hanger from a design by Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin, called "Christmas Heart Pin Cushion". Wendy Jo also sent some extra's. A scissors sack and 2 skeins of GAST. I love the exchange! Feels kind of weird though, Christmas in July... The last 2 weeks or so, I was stitching on HAED's Merlin & Arthur. I finally finished another (half) page! This is what I did so far: And here's a close-up of this page: It's very hard to get a good pic, because the colors are so dark. But there is a deer's head in it... I'm currently stitching on a Birtdhay exchange and SBEBB's Redwork exchange.

This is fun!

A RAK and some "necessities"

Yesterday I came home real tired, after my DS's schooltrip, to find two big envelopes on my doorstep. The first one was a RAK from Maggee! Look at this! Maggee sent me a chart from my wishlist, together with most of the needed floss. Isn't that wonderful? Especially when you don't expect anything! In the other envelope were some parts that I need to make more sheep - pinpillows. I think Sietje can use a little company ;) Today I had another package in the mail (I'm starting to develop a relation with the mailman!), with another order. I did some searching on the web, and finally found an online store , where I can order pins for the pinkeeps! So here's my order: That's a lot of pinkeeps!!!

Received my wish from Becky!

On the "Make a wish" exchange group, I wished for something with a birdhouse on it (what else?), and Becky was so kind to granted my wish! Look at the wonderful pinkeep she made me!!! Becky stitched a design of Brittercup; "Spring Friends" and finished it into a pinkeep. Thank you Becky, I like it a lot!!!

It's all about birds

I was getting worried about my Feathered Friends exchange. Because I still hadn't heard that it was arrived. But when I took a look at Joan's blog I found out she received it almost two weeks ago! Well this is what I've made for Joan: Design: "Blue Bird" from "Spring Patches" leaflet, Homespun Elegance Fabric: 28 ct. linen band Floss: DMC Finish: ornament / hanger Yesterday I received my return- crazy -exchange from Carol . She sent me this wonderful fob (what else?) and a chart from my wishlist: The funny thing about this fob is, that I received an almost similar fob from Cathy just a while ago!!! Look here.... Speaking of birds... We had a nest of titmouses in one of the birdhouses. And the babies are out now! Isn't it cute???

I heard from Tuula that she received my scissorspocket for the Make a Wish exchange. She wished for a scissorspocket and her favourite colors are purple and blue. This is what I made for her: Design: "Red Desert Scissor pocket" from The Cat Whiskers, changed colors Fabric: 32 ct. linen from a grabbag from Silkweaver Floss: "Orb" and "Midnight" silk from Vicky Clayton Finish: Scissor Pocket This afternoon I had all for myself! So I spend it stitching and sewing ;) I've made this little black sheep. Her name is "Sietje". She has rather big ears, but I think she's cute anyway! The pattern is from Bobbins .
