Bellpull and bobbins

I've finished "Shaker Village" into a belpull and it's now hanging in my corridor. I'm very happy with it! In the Netherlands we have a website called "Marketplace". It's something like Ebay. And someone had a sewingbox for sale. It was an old, dirty, plastic box, but on the pic I saw all these wooden bobbins! So for only 2 euros I could pick it up, and it was a real treasure, I think! I've trowed the box away immediatly, but the bobbins are so cute...

... it's indoor snow! Since this design was released on last year's Nashville market (by Stitches 'N' Stones), it was on my wishlist, because I really like the saying! I could have designed it ;) Just recently, I decided to buy it, and started it right away. It was a quick stitch! I'm going to finish it into a top for my stitching-box. If anyone's interested: the chart is up for trading. So please contact me (sndejong at gmail dot com), if you want it.

White Eastern!

We had snow for Eastern!!! Ofcourse Eastern was very early this year, but besides that, it was way to cold! Last year we had summer-weather with Eastern... My birdhouse collection looks wonderful covered in snow, don't they? Saturday evening I finished Fanci That's "Shakers Village"! Still have to finish it into a belpull, but I'm very happy with it. This was on my wishlist for quit a while. I received it from Cathy B. with the Autumn exchange! And I ordered the threads right away. It stitched very quickly, so it's already finished! Design: "Shaker Village" from Fanci That Fabric: 28 ct. Linen Band Floss: GAST and WDW Finish: Belpull We were celebrating Eastern at my parents house and my mother gave me this: I've got this little green sewing machine as a little girl. It doesn't work anymore, because I stitched backwards with it, all the time ;) Around the same time, my grandmothers sister bought the white Bernina. Fortunatly that still works

And they already came today! Look at the big skeins!!! I think they are really pretty! Set of Pumpkin's Set of Red's And Nancy also added some extra's!

What Simone Means You are the total package - suave, sexy, smart, and strong. You have the whole world under your spell, and you can influence almost everyone you know. You don't always resist your urges to crush the weak. Just remember, they don't have as much going for them as you do. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated. You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want. You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way! You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are soli

... but 3 exchanges received in today's mail!!! I think the mailplane from the US has landed, because the mailwoman brought me two packages this afternoon. In the first box was this gorgeous Winterexchange from Cathy B. for the Seasonal Exchange group: Cathy made me a very pretty cushion with a LHN-design (I think?) on it. I can see why she wanted to keep it for herself ;) And again she spoiled me big time with all these goodies! Chocolate, cappuccino, charts from my wishlist, a piece of handdyed linen, WDW floss (with coffee flavors;) ) Thanks a lot, Cathy!!! Then there was this other box from Jill . And in there were 2 exchanges at the same time! Jill had my name for both the SBEBB Tea time exchange and for the HOE Biscornu exchange: Jill really did her best to found out my likings. For the biscornu exchange she chose a birdhouse theme! The biscornu is so pretty, and I really like the red bird button. She also kitted up a Heart in Hand chart for me and it came all together in th

Today I received this pretty pinkeep! On our Dutch mailinglist we're doing something with wishes. You can add your wish in the database and someone else can choose to fulfill your wish. I wished for something for Eastern... And here it is! I just hate that it's anonymous!!! I want to thank someone for this sweet little bunny...

Hip Hop and more

Because of a rainy weekend I have a lot to show you ;) First of all I finished Bent Creek's Hip Hop and framed it this afternoon (unfortunatly the frame is a little to small): Design: Bent Creek "Hip Hop" Fabric: 32 ct. Dublin Linen Floss: DMC Finish: Framed I also finished the border of my "Rooie Bep" quilt, so now the top is finished. Have to pay Atelier Bep a visit to find a fabric for the back. And Sunday afternoon I've made this pillow cover. I've had the chicken fabric for a while, and now I finally got inspiration to make something of it! Yesterday I started stitching on Fanci That's Shaker Village. I really like that design! Not much to show yet...

Birdhouse wallhanging

When we were visiting the craftmarket a month ago, my friend and I fell for this cute birdhouse (you might now that I'm a birdhouse collector) at Jookies . It looked very simple so we've decided to reproduce this. Yesterday we spent the afternoon together and started it, and now it's finished! Finally a good reason to remove my Christmas wallhanging from my living room wall ;)

Part 9 & 10 Red Thread

Afbeelding
Last week I've stitched part 9 and 10 of Bent Creek's Red Thread serie. I received the buttons for the border also, so I added them right away. I really like this project!!! Problem is that I have to wait untill the next parts come, to finish it... I allready saw them on the net, and I want them NOW!!! But, since I'm doing this as a monthly club, I have to be patient.... These two drawers are the last parts of the LNS that my great-aunt use to own, over 30 years ago.... Unfortunatly I was to young to remember it. She closes the shop down because she became ill. And since the shop was part of her house, everything of the shop was removed. My uncle had a part of the shop's cupboard in his garage and kept screws and such, in it (what a shame!!!). I heard that he was cleaning out, and asked him about the DMC-drawers, but I was already too late... These two drawers were the only one that could be saved :( So I cleaned them and now I use them for some of my floss stash. I rea
