Afbeelding
Today I received this great exchange from Neila ! It's the scissorfob exchange from Hooked on exchanging . Neila made me a really cute fob with a birdhouse on it (over one). She sure did some investigation of my likes ;) She also addes some handdyed wool velt, some candybars (yummie), a little duck and some postcards from Minnesota. Thanks Neila!!!

I just read on Isabelle's blog, that she received my Winter exchange for the Seasonal exchange group. I've made her this wallhanging (the complete exchange can be seen on Isabelle's blog): Design: "Winter time" from Nenne Design (a Dutch designer) Fabric: 32 ct. Minster Linen "Chain Mail" Floss: DMC linen L-ecru Finish: wall hanging Only one more season to go for this exchange: Spring. Although I enjoy Spring a lot, it's my least favourite season to stitch something for... I started looking for a suitable design allready!

Armenian Karpet finished

Design: "Armenian Karpet" from Dutch dollshouse magazine "Poppenhuis en miniaturen" Fabric: 28 ct. linen Floss: DMC, half stitches over 1 Finish: karpet Whoohoo!!! This karpet became a big UFO because I didn't like to stitch it anymore. But there was wonderful Esther who volunteerd to finish it for me!!! She managed to finish it in just 2 weeks or so... The karpet is for the dollshouse, my father is building for several years. Maybe this motivates him to continue with the dollshouse!

Fob arrived and some finishes for my own

I read on the Hooked on exchanging blog that Rowyn has received my fob! This one really travels fast to New Zealand!!! Maybe I should wrap myself up and send me to NZ too ;))) Design: "Snowbound" from Bent Creek Fabric: 32 ct. Lugana "Khaki" from Sassy's Fabbies Floss: DMC Finish: Scissorfob We had a few days of very stormy and rainy weather (and today it's more like spring!), so I did some finishing. Most of it is for exchanges, so I can't show them yet... But, I also made some things for ME. The snowman is displayed in my kitchen and "little house in the woods" is in the toilet. It feels kind of good to make something for my own, for once ;) Design: Wee One "Little snowman in the drifts" from Heart in Hand Fabric: 32 ct. Lugana "Gray Flannel" from Sassy's Fabbies Floss: DMC Finish: Ornament Design: "little house in the woods" from Heart in Hand Fabric: 28 ct. Jobelan, Coffeedyed Floss: DMC Finish: Flatfold

DS did the drawing for my 100th post celebration. Thank you for all your sweet comments. And the winner is: VONNA !!! Congratulations Vonna! Will you please send me your address at simonedejong @ planet.nl? Your prize is this little snowman-ornament from Homespun Elegance: OK, it's not a big prize, but it's the thought that counts, doesn't it? :) And I finished the top of my Mysteriequilt! Tomorrow I'm going to visit my friend Jacqueline, so it had to be finished!

Almost finished

Just one more border and the top of my mysterie quilt is finished! The border is going to be made off the darkest red plaid fabric. On the back comes a red/white/blue plaid (same as the stripe on the front). I really like how this one turns out!

Mysteriequilt

Last spring my friend Jacqueline started a Mysteriequilt on our Dutch yahoogroup. She designed three different blocks and each 2 weeks who received a part of it. I found the third block a bit too complicated so I didn't make that one. But Jacqueline designed a different lay-out for me, so I could still make a quilt of it. Then I got busy with all kind of other projects and this one ended up in a drawer... So one of my goals for 2008 is to finish the Mysteryquilt! I'm now more than half way with the top, and I really like how it works out! But... I found a mistake!!! When I saw this picture on the computer, I saw that something went wrong in one of the red blocks. Do you see it???? It's too much work to fix it, so I'm going to leave it this way. I think it's kind of funny such a beginners-mistake :)

SBQ and SBEBB

Hihi, when you read the title of this blog, it seems like some sort of secret language ;) First of all, this weeks SBQ: What was your favorite finish of 2007? I think that would be the piratesship for my DS. It's my only BAP finish this year and DS loves it so much! Second best is my Stitching Chair from the Cat's Whiskers, because it was such a challenging project. I just found out on Carol's blog , that the SBEBB is staying to exist!!! I'm so happy with that! I really enjoy to participate in all those exchanges. So I've already signed up for the new Teatime exchange. Cathy B., Vonna and Carol thank you for keeping the board open!!!

100!!!
