ATELIER SOED IDEE

Remember? Last autumn when our new garden was finished I mentioned that I planted over 300 bulbs. And now they're starting to bloom!!! Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, so they almost bursted out of the earth! Unfortunately today it's raining...

This afternoon I finished the last blocks of my "Rooie Bep"-quilt (Red Bep)! On this pic they're not sewed together yet ;) I just layed them on the floor to give you (and me) an impression of what it will look like in the end. I'm very happy so far! So, now I can sew all the blocks together. The outside border will be all scraps from the different red fabrics I've used.

Right in time for Valentine's day, I received this wonderful package from Hungary!!! Rita made me a wonderful little pillow, and also sent me some nice goodies. I just LOVE the birdhouse button!!! Thank you Rita!

Today I received this wonderful Pinkeep from Pascale ! It's for the pinkeep exchange of the " Borduurhoekje ". I already saw a pic of it on Pascale's blog and now it landed on my doorstep! Pascale, thank you for this great exchange!!!

Whoohoo! I finally finished a page again of HAED's Merlin & Arthur (by Scott Gustafson)! And I made Arthur appear: I really love the way it looks, but it's going soooooo slow.... It's all confetti! On my website you can also see the diagram of what I stitched so far...

From several of my stitching and blogging friends I received this Award: I feel honoured!!! But now comes the hard part... I have to give the Award to 10 other friends! I decided that it's impossible :) I have over 100 feeds in my blogroll, and I enjoy every one of them! You are all such an inspiration to me and more than once you make me smile :))) So, you've all been Awarded by me! Dear friend Jacqueline also decided to tag me. (Thanks a lot Jacq!). That means I have to tell seven (odd) things about myself... I find it very hard, but I'll try. 1. I'm over-organised. So everything should be on it's own place, in the right order. Therefore I also keep an administration of my stash, are my fabrics sorted by color, etc. 2. I have a crush for the primitive country style. 3. I'm collecting birdhouses. I have several of them in my garden, a few small ones in my kitchen and toilet, and I collect cross stitch charts with birdhouses. 4. I don't like pastel colors

I'm going to make a redwork quilt! I have a lot of different red fabrics from Atelier Bep , which I use for it. The other fabric is plain cotton ("pitjeskatoen") which I died myself with coffee. I already made this stitchery, which will be the centerpiece: ( BTW: I made this picture before I rinsed out the Trickmarker ;) ) Around the stitchery there will be "ninepatches" and "friendship stars", like this quilt: I've cut all the fabric for the blocks, last week: And today I sewed the first block: There will be 14 friendship stars and 12 ninepatches. So only 25 blocks left to go... ;)

I did some stash buying on their Christmas Sale. And after that I did several addition to my order, so it took a while to arrive. But it's home now! Today I received this wonderful package from Iris ! It's for the surprise exchange of our Borduurhoekje . Iris really paid attention, because these are all things I like very much! Especially the tray with the stitched bottom is so pretty... And of course all the other goodies she spoiled me with! Thank you so much Iris!!!

A few days ago Iris told me that she received my pinkeep for the pinkeep sxchange on our Dutch Borduurhoekje. Since Iris is making a Valentine ornament tree, I knew right away that her pinkeep had to be something Valentinish ;) She also likes bright colors and SanMan designs, so this is what I made for her: Design: "Be True", SanMan Originals Fabric: 28 ct. evenweave "Wild Orchid" from Sassy'sfabbys Floss: DMC Finish: pinkeep Last Saturday I went to the "Handwerkbeurs" in Zwolle (a craft market) and I did some great stash-shopping!
