During one of our quiltbee's we were talking about the stamps of Dorry. During the quiltweekend Jillina followed a workshop and bought the set of stamps for the bobbin-blocks. At first I wasn't very enthoustiac untill new models of stamps came in. We decided with our Bee to start a new project together; the Baby or Tumbling blocks. Made with the stamps.
Together we bought the stamp and ink and I was the first to start stamping.
But... I was looking around on the website and totally fell for these stars, made with the same stamp!
So this afternoon I got some fabric out of the drawers and start stamping.
I like the stamps, because I hate working with paterno templates. The only thing which is not useful, is that you can't see through the stamp. ;) If you want to repeat a part of the pattern in the fabric it's a difficult aim.
I prepared 20 stars for now, that seems enough for the vacation. And the stamp can go on to the next person. I also ordered the hexagon stamp, those will later go in between the stars. Now let's hope I can still come to the Bee, because I did my own way... :-)
