Some updates

It's been a bit quiet from my side, but I'm still here. And although I didn't blog much (DH is at home and spends a lot of time at the computer), I did get some stitching done. And there was an exchange arrived: Birthday exchange for Marc , who loves penquins. The top penquin is made with paperpiecing method, the other one is a design of Brittercup Designs. Stitched on 28 ct. white Jobelan, with DMC. I finished it into a wall hanging. Design: "Reindeer Sampler", JBW Designs Fabric: 32 ct. Dublin Linen Floss: DMC Finish: Flatfold I finished the stitching of the Stitchers' tray from Maryse . Which I now have to finish into a tray. And I made this cute little Gingerbread wallhanging from Atelier Bep . It's hanging in my kitchen, and I think I'm going to leave it there for a while! I also stitched part 8 of BC's Red Thread serie. You can see the progress here . I'm still waiting for my Christmas exchange from the Crazy exchange group, to arrive in ...

My wishes for you!

Today I received this gorgeous Christmas Ornament from Chris for the SBEBB-exchange! Chris even stitched SBEBB on the back of the ornament ;) The ornament got a place in the tree right away. Love the little bells attached to it. Chris also made me a wonderful Christmas card! And she sended me a great piece of linen, some ribbon, a skein of Carrie's Creation "Joy Noel" and a box of chocolates which DS ate right away. Thank you Chris for this great exchange!!!

Christmas ornament from Leena

Haha, my third post for today! There was more nice mail on the doormat this morning... I also received my Christmas ornament (for the Xmas ornie exchange) from Leena . She stitched me such a pretty ornament! It has an unusual color-combination, but - like you wrote Leena - I love it! This ornament is getting a good place in my tree (which I'm going to put in my living room this weekend) Leena also added some nice gifts: a piece of quilt fabric, a transparent blue ribbon, some Atalie-floss (my first one!) in "caramel" and a bar of chocolate, which I just ate! Leena, thank you so much! I love your gifts!!!

Ready for Sinterklaas

Tomorrow - 5th December - we're celebrating "Sinterklaas" a typical Dutch feast. Sinterklaas (or Sint Nicolaas) was a Saint for the poor and homeless people. Nowadays we're celebrating his birthday with gifts, poems and surprises. It's a real children's feast! I just finished all the wrapping and filled the large bags. Tomorrow my parents are coming to join us for Sinterklaas, so there will be twice as much packages then! Can't wait to see the excitement on my son's face! To all my Dutch and Belgium readers: Fijne Sinterklaas!!!

Yesterday I went to a package club-members day at Atelier Bep's . And while outside it was storming and raining, we've made this cute little wallhanging in Bep's cozy country-kitchen! We really had a great day. Bep, thank you for your warm welcome, the workshop and your delicious soup!
