Autumn exchange, floss tag and Sjakie

Afbeelding
Finally some things to show you! On our Dutch Borduurhoekje group we had an Autumn / Halloween exchange. I chose for the Autumn theme, because I have nothing with Halloween (sorry). This is what I received from Willeke this morning: She stitched "Acorn Hill" from LHN and finished it into a wallhanging. I really like it! And look at the back, I just love that fabric! (do you have some leftovers Willeke?) Here's what I made for Elza . She also chose the Autumn theme. Design: "Wee One Autumn Bird" - Heart in Hand Fabric: 36 ct. Natural linen Floss: DMC and WDW Finish: Doorhanger I also heard from Ellen that she received my floss tag for the HOE exchange. Design: "Round Robin" - The Trilogy Fabric: 28 ct. linen, tea dyed, stitched 1 over 1 Floss: DMC Finish: Floss tag Last wednesday I visited my friend Jacqueline . We still had to celebrate her birthday, which was a few weeks ago. I've made her another sheep of my flock. Meet Sjakie: I've plans f...

Snowman

With all the "FBI-projects" going on, I can't show you much of what I'm doing lately. But last week I've made this cute little snowman. Originally it was also for an exchange, but I think it's kind of big for a Christmas Ornament ;) And DS really loved it, so he wants to keep him! Now I started stitching an ornament for the exchange. Hugs, Simone

Crazy exchange from Marne

Afbeelding
This morning the doorbell ringed and the mailman handed over a big envelop to me! I knew there was a crazyexchange on it's way to me and this was finally it. The package was from Marne ! She made me this beautiful Autumn tablerunner: And added a lot of nice extra's too it! And on the back is the cutest turkey! Thank you so much Marne! I really like what you've made for me!!! Have a nice weekend! Hugs, Simone

Two HD's!

I had TWO Happy Dance's this weekend!!! On Saturday evening I finished the Christmas Row from Bent Creek. I really liked this design and it was a quick stitch! And it's for ME again :D I think I'm going to finish it into a long pillow. And the second Happy Dance was Sunday afternoon, when I've put the last stitches in the binding of my Sheep-quilt! DH spent the rest of the afternoon under the new blankie, taking a nap ;) I've made the quilt with all different kinds of red fabric from my favourite store Atelier Bep . And for the back I used all the leftovers! The quilt is now tumbling around in the washing machine, so keep your fingers crossed, that it comes out the way it went in... I have several Christmas exchanges to work on, so I started the first yesterday evening. I hope I can show something here in between. Hugs, Simone

Squirrel

This summer we hang a squirrel feeding house in our tree. In summer we don't see many squirrels, but now they finally discovered that there is food in the house!

Leaves are everywhere

We have the most beautiful Autumn weather over here in the Netherlands! When I look out of my window I see leaves in all kind of colors. This is absolute my favourite season! Except for the acorns and oak leaves that are falling in my backyard... :( There are a lot of them! So I have to rake each day... When I saw this kit from Homespun Elegance, I liked it immediatly and had to stitch it. Finally something finished for me ;) Design: A chill is in the air - Homespun Elegance Fabric: 28 ct. Cashel linen "Sand" Floss: Crescent Colours Finish: Tray So, are you all joining my little Happy Dance, outside, between the falling leaves? A happy weekend to all of you! We're going to enjoy the nice weather. Hugs, Simone

Fall House for Heather

Afbeelding
I saw on Heather's blog that she received my Fall House exchange for the SBEBB. I've stitched a part of LHN's "Acorn Hill" and turned it into a pinkeep: Design: Acorn Hill - Little House Needleworks Fabric: 32 ct. Irish Linen Floss: DMC, Crescent Colours and Victorian Motto Finish: Pinkeep Here's a pic of the complete exchange: We have some real Autumn weather today. It's raining and storming... A perfect day to sit by the fire place, drink lots of tea and stitch ;) Hugs, Simone

Good start of the weekend

Afbeelding
My weekend started real good this morning! I've slept late, so when I was finally showered and dressed, the mail was already on our doormat. And there was the next Monthly Bit from SB&B, with some GAST threads and a nice Halloween freebie: I didn't even start breakfast, when the doorbell rang and the mailman delivered a big box from Holly . It was the Fall House exchange from the SBEBB. Holly stitched "Season of Plenty" from LHN and finished it as a fabulous box top! And the box was filled with a lot of marvelous goodies!!! I especially love this "Friendship trifold" from In the Company of Friends . It's so pretty! Holly, thank you so much for your wonderful and generous Fall House exchange! Well, you can all imagine that my Saturdaymorning was a good one! And while DH and DS are playing with the new Wii, am I playing with all my new stitching stuff ;) Have a nice weekend! Hugs, Simone

"Tilda" heart

Afbeelding
I saw this Tilda heart on several blogs. I don't have this particular Tilda book, but it isn't that hard to draw a heart, isn't it? So I did and "pimped" it a little with a ribbon, some buttons and jojo's and voilá... There it is! It's hanging on my frontdoor, pointing our names out ;) I was wondering.... What does your frontdoor looks like??? I would love to see some frontdoors on your blogs! Hugs, Simone

My tribute to Marion's RR

Afbeelding
On our "Borduurhoekje" group we're doing a RR with 6 people. It's my first RR ever! We all chose a different theme for our RR. The first RR I had to stitch on was Marions . She has a LHN houses theme and she also likes sheep. So I decided to stitch the left part of "The Counting House". And this is what it looks like so far: BTW; Marion did not manage to finish her own part in time ;) Hugs, Simone
